Dr. David Chen

Dr. Chen is an enthusiastic system architect with more than 25 years of experience in communication algorithms and digital ASIC development. He worked for several chip design companies including VLSI Technology, Philips Semiconductors, Broadcom, CommASIC and MStar Semiconductor before co-founding ALifecom.

Dr. Chen has lead teams to develop numerous modem chips and wireless PHY IPs (IS-95, CDMA2000, ATSC, J.83B, DVB-T, DVB-C, CMMB, DTMB, WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G-LTE, 5G-NR). Dr. Chen oversees knowledge management and envisions technology advancement for ALifecom. He also fosters innovation and promotes best practices for ALifecom R&D activities.   

Dr. Chen holds a B.S. degree from National Taiwan University, M.S. and Ph.D. from UCLA, all in electrical engineering

Dr. H.I. Hsu

Dr. Hsu has more than 15 years of experience in wireless protocol software design (UMTS, WiMAX, LTE, LTE-A, 5G) and software team management. He served as a section manager of the Institute of Information Industry (III), the largest information and communication research organization in Taiwan, before co-founding ALifecom. Dr. Hsu holds a project manager (PMP) license and more than 40 patents from several countries. 

Dr. Hsu leads the R&D team and supervises the technical development of ALifecom products and services. He manages engineering resources, develops technical strategies, and oversees the entire process from start to finish. 

Dr. Hsu holds B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), all in telecommunications.
